The Mercy Family Birthing Unit offers a combination of intimate, home style accommodation, personalised attention and modern clinical facilities.
Many of the patient rooms have spectacular views of the Swan River, and double beds in all private rooms enable parents to stay together for the duration of the stay at this very special time.
Our team of Midwives, Medical Practitioners and Physiotherapists are committed to preparing you and your family for all aspects of childbirth and parenthood.

Birthing Suites
Our modern, spacious birthing suites boast a patient lounge area, individual ensuite bathrooms with double showers and large baths.
Your parent or support person is most welcome and encouraged to participate in your birthing experience.

Prior to making a booking parents are welcome to tour all areas of the Mercy Family Birthing Unit, where you can meet our team and view our modern facilities.

Visiting Hours
For your convenience, unrestricted visiting hours are available for fathers and siblings.
For others: between 8.00am - 1.00pm and 3.00pm - 8.00pm
Our new parents have requested a rest period from 1.00pm - 3.00pm each day.
We ask all visitors to only visit during this time as a courtesy to all patients on the unit.
