Pre-admission Clinic
The Pre-admission Clinic at Mercy Hospital Mount Lawley provides a multidisciplinary assessment and screening service for patients prior to their admission to Hospital.
The clinic is co-ordinatred by nursing staff, and a range of health professionals.
It is a free one-on-one service for joint replacement patients and Bariatric patients having surgery at Mercy Hospital Mount Lawley. We will however endeavour to call pre-operativley all patients undergoing general surgery and including day surgery.
Designed to ensure a more relaxed, informed admission process, our experienced nursing staff will assist with:
- Completion of admission forms
- A comprehensive nursing assessment
- Discharge and aftercare arrangements and
- Education relating to your procedure.
The Pre-admission Clinic can co-ordinate many aspects of your hospital stay including documentation, pain management, home-care services and physiotherapy / occupational therapy if required.
Interviews take approximately one hour. We encourage you to bring a friend or relative.
