Quality Initiatives

The Clinical Quality Improvement Group is a multidisciplinary committee comprised of Clinicians and senior nursing personnel who meet regularly to analyse any adverse events that occur.

The objectives of the committee are to make recommendations for systems or practice changes that may help to remove or reduce the risk of these events recurring.

The cases are de-identified and the discussion is confidential.

The committee makes recommendations to improve the delivery of health-care within the Hospital, and asks for your suggestions in individual cases.

The Hospital also conducts audits on surgical procedures, and Clinicians will be contacted to participate in an audit within their specialty.

When the audit is complete, a meeting will be arranged to discuss the results, again with a view to quality improvement.
