The Family Birthing Unit, located at beautifully appointed Mercy Hospital Mount Lawley boasts 6 birthing suites, a 29 bed antenatal/postnatal ward, Level 2 Nursery, lactation service and antenatal classes. With over 1,300 babies delivered each year and a low caesarian section rate we are proud to offer a warm and friendly environment for staff and new parents.

We currently have opportunities for Clinical Midwives and Registered Midwives (RN/RM or RM) to join our Family Birthing Unit. We are flexible and are able to consider a variety of options which suit your circumstances, including permanent or temporary work, and full-time, part-time and casual options.

You will be supported through ongoing professional development, provided a thorough orientation and have the opportunity to work in all areas of the unit including the Birthing Suites. We are proud to have the current Johnson and Johnson Midwife of the Year as part of our team, and she is one of many staff who can offer support and guidance in your midwifery career.
