A Place To Call Home

A Place to Call Home is funded under the National Partnership Agreement on Homelessness (NPAH) and is a joint program with Department of Housing.

The APTCH Support Worker assists clients and their families to maintain their Department of Housing home.  The Support Worker works with the client and their family for 12 months and visits them weekly and then on a fortnightly basis in their home.  The Support Worker works with them on issues such as budgeting, independent living skills, parenting, rights and responsibilities of the tenant and landlord, linking in with the community, keeping household costs down, maintaining a positive relationship with the landlord and property maintenance.

This program does not take any referrals from the public or other agencies.
