The first dedicated Rehabilitation Service in WA
The Specialist Rehabilitation Service is patient-oriented and outcome-based and focuses primarily on non-trauma orthopedics and reconditioning. We also cater for patients who have experienced an acute illness or undergone surgery resulting in some deterioration in functional ability. The Service can also accommodate patients who may benefit from preconditioning. The program for inpatients will be fast track care, with an anticipated 'length of stay' up to fourteen days. Referrals for both inpatients and ambulatory patients will come from Specialists within Mercy Hospital, Specialists in other hospitals and General Practitioners.
