Volunteering in Residential Aged Care offers you the chance to share quality time with our residents. With a whole host of activities happening daily you'll never be short of something to do or someone to chat with. 

Mercy Volunteers help in Residential Aged Care by assisting with:

  • Support for new residents and their families
  • Daily activities in our home
  • Excursions to nearby places and sights
  • Exercise and mobility activities 
  • Arts & Craft Sessions
  • Games, including both physical and mental activities
  • Walks around the Wembley site and local attractions
  • Shopping trips for necessities or pleasure
  • Attending local performances, such as our choir concert
  • Visiting and offering residents companionship
  • Reading with and to residents

Requirements

  1. Genuine interest and an empathy with our residents
  2. Good communication skills
