Mercy Restorative Unit

Mercy Restorative Unit is a Day Hospital for out-patients requiring ongoing medical assessment and / or rehabilitation therapy. The facility's main objective is to restore patients to optimum function and wellbeing prior to discharge and volunteers help in doing this by assisting with:

• Greeting patients
• Serving refreshments
• Escorting patients to other areas of the hospital
• Taking patients to therapy
• Visiting/companionship
• Entertainment
• Some administrative duties (mainly filing)
• Looking after Flowers on the ward

Requirements

1. A genuine empathy and interest in the client group
2. Good communication skills
