Koorliny Koodjookat (Going Forward) – Wanneroo
MercyCare has been commissioned by the W.A. Primary Health Alliance to run a short pilot program to increase Aboriginal access to local primary health services within the City of Wanneroo, improving primary health services in the City and identifying any changes that would improve access.
The program has a mental health and drug and alcohol focus that works on two levels:
- With service providers, to help make their services culturally safe for Aboriginal people
- With the local Aboriginal community, effectively giving them a voice to articulate their needs and service gaps.
