Foster Services' new car thanks to Finbar

Perth property development company Finbar surprised MercyCare’s Fostering Services team with an early Christmas present when the company recently announced it will donate a brand new car to the service.

Finbar announced it will generously donate a Hyundai i30 to MercyCare after learning about the amazing work of the Fostering Services team in the local community working with disadvantaged young people.

Fostering Services Senior Social Worker Danielle Wearne said she was looking forward to receiving the car from Finbar, who she couldn’t thank enough.

“Having access to our own car is going to be enormously beneficial,” she said.

“We’ll be using it for all the different things we do on a daily basis, from transporting kids to support carers, to travelling to specialist appointments like the orthodontist, and even contact visits with siblings.”

The impending donation has capped off another great year for Fostering Services, who celebrated with their annual Christmas party on December 7, where the team and many of the young people cared for through the service enjoyed a visit from Santa, bouncy castles and animal farms to kick off the festive season.
