Welcome to MercyCare's Early Learning Centre in Seville Grove
Here's a little about us...
Our centre opened in 2009 and has become a welcoming, inclusive environment for the entire community. We have 62 places available to children between the ages of six weeks to six years.
We strongly support children develop a sense of belonging to their community and encourage children to participate in the centre’s weekly activities and incursions.
What’s our Philosophy of Care? We understand and recognise that children are active learners and learn best through play-based experiences. Our experienced educators generate reflective and responsive plans to create the potential for both intentional and spontaneous learning opportunities for children to become successful, competent and capable learners with clear understanding and connection to their sense of self, the community and the world around them.

Parents at our centre love the peace of mind that comes with the app we use to communicate with them throughout the day. Xplor provides real time updates with photos about what your child is enjoying and discovering with their friends and educators.
Children of all ages also have the opportunity to contribute to our veggie and herb gardens. Not only do we teach children about where their food comes from, but they learn about how to care for things and how things grow and develop.
Our services also extend to before and after school care programs, which are available to families with primary aged school children enrolled at Challis Primary School and Willandra Primary School. Our programs encourage older children to interact with younger children, fostering their confidence and friendships between ages. While children can choose to complete any homework or other outside-of-school tasks, this is a time and space where your child can relax from their busy day and enjoy afternoon tea.
Emily has been working in Early Learning since 2008, she has a Diploma of Children’s Services and a Certificate IV in Small Business.
What Emily loves most about working with children is the chance to watch them grow and develop through play based learning and enjoying thoughtful intentional teaching moments. She places great value on creating lasting relationships with all of the families who attend, making sure they feel a real sense of belonging.
When Emily is not at work, she is an avid baker and gardener and loves spending time with her family in the great outdoors.
