Getting Started

Getting started on your journey to a better life in your own home could not be easier! Just follow these simple steps:

Step 1 - Understand Your Options

Talk to your family, support person, GP or MercyCare to see what different types of support services there are available to ensure you can continue living at home.

Step 2 - Get Help with MyAgedCare

If you are looking at subsidised care through the Commonwelath Home Support Programme or a home care package, you can register and organise your assessment through the government’s MyAgedCare system – we can help guide you through this process and make it as simple and easy as possible.

Step 3 - Research Your Options

Who are your local providers, what services do they offer, are they right for you, what are their costs? We can help you answer all of these questions and more in one place and make it easy to understand.

Step 4 - Get the Care and Support You Need, When You Need it

There are still options available to access support even if you are still waiting in the queue for your home care package. Ask us about our range of private care services that can be arranged at short notice.

Step 5 - Choose A Provider and Get Started

Once you have decided that MercyCare is the right provider for you we will arrange an appointment and get you started along the road to a safer, happier life in your own home.
