Your Home Care Package
Please select your assigned care package level below to see in more detail the costs involved and the hours of support you will receive. You will have the option to choose from
- Standard Care or,
- Standard Care plus the Basic Daily Fee if you need additional support.
Depending upon your assessment, you may also receive supplementary funding for dementia, oxygen or enteral feeding. This supplement will increase the hours made available to you for care.
What makes MercyCare's prices different?
- We wanted to give you more options to choose from to suit your budget and hours of support needed. Which is why we have not included the Basic Daily Fee in our Standard Care costs.
- If you decide that you need extra support on top of your standard care, paying the Basic Daily Fee will provide more in home care support hours.
- We also do not charge any additional costs such as an exit fee or mileage.
What are the costs involved and how are they paid?
For our Standard Care this involves a Care Management and Package Management fee which will be paid to MercyCare from your Home Care Package provided by the Government.
If you choose to have additional support the Basic Daily Fee of between $9.44 and $10.54 a day will be paid direct to MercyCare from your nominated bank account.

What are the hours of care based on?
The hours of care for each home care package below is based on a Personal Support Worker providing services Monday- Friday. Hours of care will vary for times outside of this, such as weekends, and for care provided by allied health and clinical nursing services. We can talk you through the options that best suit you.
