Home & Community Care Program

The first time someone uses home support, it is often via the Home and Community Care Program (also referred to as ‘HACC’). Home Care Packages

If you have more complex or specific needs requiring regular advice and support, a Home Care Package may be the answer. For more information on Home Care Packages and how MercyCare can support you or someone you know, click here or on the ‘Home Care Packages’ tab to the right in the menu list.

Home Care Packages are offered using a ‘consumer directed care’ approach. This means that the person receiving home support (the ‘consumer’) is able to have more choice and control in what support they receive, who delivers the support  and how it can be delivered in a way that suits the person’s needs.
