Dementia Care at Davis House

MercyCare’s Davis House offers flexible respite options for family carers who provide care to a loved one living with dementia. Centrally located in Wembley, Davis House is a safe, yet warm and friendly environment where everyone is valued and recognised.
MercyCare’s approach to supporting people with dementia sees individuals and their needs as central, whilst understanding the important role played by family carers. Respite services offered by Davis House enable carers of people with dementia to take a well-earned break so they can refresh and continue in their vital role.
How do you know if someone is eligible to access Davis House for Dementia Care?
If you care for someone who is 65 years and older (or 50 years and older if Indigenous), living with dementia, you may be able to access respite from Davis House.
When does Davis House offer respite?
Davis house is open from Monday to Friday between 8.00am – 7.00pm, with the option of some flexibility. Saturday day service is available until 3.00pm. Overnight respite is available from Monday to Friday. Overnight respite can be used in conjunction with a day or evening service, or as overnight alone.
Is there a cost for respite services at Davis House?
There is a nominal contribution fee for accessing Davis House. Contact our Respite Administrator to discuss.
