In-House Respite Care

Do you support a loved one who needs care and you need a break?

MercyCare offers in-house respite care to carers (family or friends recognised as unpaid carers) to enable them to continue in their vital role. Respite care can take the form of most tasks the carer would normally undertake, it is a flexible approach to meet both the needs of the carer and the person receiving support.

How do you know if someone is eligible for In-Home Respite?

Funding for In-Home Respite is through three programs:

  1. The Home and Community Care Program
  2. The National Respite for Carers Program
  3. Home Care Packages

Is there a cost for In-Home Respite?

There is a contribution fee for In-Home Respite. Contact one of our MercyCare staff to discuss.
