Merriwa Community Hub has been able to brighten the day of about 60 visitors in the past few weeks thanks to local real estate agency, Ray White Leading Edge.
Having dealt with a tenant who could no longer work due to illness and had to choose between paying the rent or buying groceries, staff at the agency were sparked into action.
After staff got together a collection of grocery items to donate to their tenant, the Ray White Clarkson office has continued spreading the love.
The business put together a number of bags full of groceries, about enough to help get a family through a few days and delivered them to Merriwa Community Hub and other places in the area to distribute to people in need of a little extra assistance.
While Merriwa Community Hub generally does not provide any sort of food relief, they often get requests for assistance of this type and have enjoyed being able to offer those people who can use a helping hand, a bag of groceries to help them through.
Sandra was one of the people who was gifted one of the bags.
“I’m so grateful for the wonderful donation. It has helped my family so much. Many thanks to Ray White Clarkson,” she said.
