Personal Care

Grocery Shopping Support

  • We can support you to do your grocery shopping, whether it be taking you grocery shopping, shopping for you via a Shop By List, or helping you order groceries online.
  •  We can assist with transport to and from the shops
  • We can help carry your shopping bags, put your groceries away and make sure foods are stored safely

Meal Planning and Preparation

We can help you with meal preparation or organise to supply home-delivered meals so that you can enjoy tasty, healthy and nutritious meals:

  • We can support you with planning and preparing your meals
  • Assistance with special diets for health, religious, cultural or other reasons

Community Connection and Social Support

We can help you stay connected with friends, family and your community, whether through social groups, one-on-one chats over a cuppa, or simply going for a drive through your community:

  • Community activities such as social and fitness groups
  • Movies, shows and day trips to interesting and exciting locations
  • Shopping trips
  • Explore technology to help you stay safe and keep in touch.
  • For some people, having someone to spend time with, connect and chat in their home can be the social activity they prefer.

Nursing Care for the Elderly

Our own MercyCare nurses are available seven days a week in your home. Our nurses can help with:

  • Supporting you to be safe and independent in your own home, including assessments such as falls, nutrition, cognition and clinical assessments to ensure your well being
  • Continence and catheter management
  • Wound care
  • Management of diabetes
  • Medication support
  • Respiratory care
  • Stoma care
  • Management of chronic conditions

Allied Health Support

Our team of physiotherapists and occupational therapists will work closely with you to ensure you receive the specialised services you need, including managing daily living tasks and safety in and around the home. Referrals are also available to other allied health professionals such as dementia specialists, podiatrists, speech therapists, dieticians and more.

Our team of Allied Health professionals can support your assessed needs in recommending aids, equipment, home modifications and assisted technology to keep you safe at home.

Carer Respite

Carer health and wellbeing is vital. We offer flexible respite options  for family carers looking after a loved one. Respite can be provided in your home or at one of our specialised respite centres.


We can help you get to the places you want to go, such as:

  • For medical appointments
  • Shopping or social outings
  • If you prefer to travel more independently, we can help you with other transport option e.g. St Johns Community Transport, taxi vouchers

We can support you to keep your home and garden maintained so you can access your home and garden safely.
