Our spacious community room forms the heart of Mercy Village. This is the space where people gather, friendships are formed, and life bubbles over.
The community space is also available to host private functions, with an outdoor BBQ for you to use, or you are welcome to bring in your favourite caterers to take advantage of the fully equipped commercial kitchen. You and your guests can enjoy drinks on the terrace with its gorgeous views of Lake Monger.
From carpet bowls to choir singing, we’ve organised a wide variety of social activities for you to pick and choose from. For lovers of news and editorial, there is a community newsletter waiting for your contribution. For mind mappers, there’s Mahjong, Scrabble and a weekly craft group. And some days, an organised morning or afternoon tea, weekly happy hour, fortnightly dinner and monthly BBQ provides the perfect amount of activity and enhances our sense of community and friendship.
And if you are looking for even more things to do, the Town of Cambridge offers a range of nearby community events and activities off-campus.
Downstairs from the community centre, we have created a space for book lovers and tech afficionados alike. Come for a quiet space to relax and catch up on some reading or browse the internet with a cuppa.
Our onsite gym is equipped with standard machines, free weights, and exercise balls. The space is available for you to use with your physiotherapist or occupational therapist. with safety in mind, the gym is equipped with emergency buttons and a defibrillator for extra peace of mind.
If you want to get your body moving, our community centre has regular fitness classes you can join, including Tai Chi and Yoga.
At Mercy Village, we offer a high standard of medical care, allowing for the right level of care for you and your loved ones.
Our community centre has a dedicated space for medical consultations, where you can get the care you need at a convenient location. Services include a visiting podiatrist and reflexologist and respite options for family carers, including social support and flexible overnight respite.
Because we’re centrally located, MercyCare Wembley Residential Aged Care Home is just a short walk away and you can tap in to MercyCare’s Home Care for support for you to stay independent at home.
We are a short distance from St. John of God Subiaco, with many medical centres, dentists, pathology, and ophthalmologists in easy reach.
Some days you just need a little extra something. Other days, you may be hosting a party, expecting a visit from the family, or attending an event. That’s why we have a visiting beauty therapist for facials, manicures, pedicures, waxing, and tinting; as well as an onsite hairdresser located at our MercyCare’s Residential Aged Care Home.
MercyCare’s Residential Aged Care Home has an onsite chapel, where chapel services are held every day.
