This tasty dish is a favourite with the children (and staff) at our Heathridge Early Learning Centre.
It was dished up three different ways on the day we visited. The two alternative methods of serving it were, pureed for the smaller babies and minus the cream cheese and cheese for a dairy free option.
Why not give it a go at home?
Chicken alfredo with bacon, broccoli and mushrooms
500 grams spiral pasta
500 grams chicken breast fillet
250 grams lean bacon
1 cup mushrooms
1 tub cream cheese
1 cup grated cheese
1/3 cup chicken stock
1/3 cup milk
Bring water to the boil in a saucepan so pasta can cook while cooking the rest of the dish.
Cube chicken and bacon and cook in the electric frypan.
Add broccoli, mushrooms and chicken stock and place lid on for 10 minutes.
When cooked through, add milk and cream cheese until it makes a sauce.
Stir through grated cheese.
Serve with pasta.
