Youth Week: A focus on young people

Youth Week is an opportunity for young people to come together to share ideas, showcase their talents and have their voices heard on issues of concern to them.

Every year, Youth Homelessness Matters Day is marked within Youth Week to raise awareness of youth homelessness amongst decision makers and the wider community.

On 18 April, our Youth and Homelessness team combined forces with the Youth At Risk Action Group at Leederville HQ.

The theme of the Illumin18 event asked young people to “Illuminate” their strengths with glow in the dark crayons and temporary tattoos.

The team offered inspiration to young people using Strength Cards, prompting young people to identify characteristics in themselves such as 'Curiosity', 'Thoughtfulness', 'Gentle' and 'Forgiving'.
