Amazing team inspires Occupational Therapist Siobhan

For Occupational Therapist Siobhan, coming in to work each day presents an opportunity to make a difference in the community.

“I love that I get to meet new people, hear their stories and support them to remain living at home in the way that they choose, because of this, my job is diverse and always interesting, there is never a dull moment.” Siobhan said.

Throughout her career to date, Siobhan has gained valuable experience through Alzheimer’s WA and the Department of Communities before commencing at MercyCare in 2020.

“My role here (at MercyCare) has been my most diverse to date, regarding home modifications and equipment prescription”

When asked about her experience at MercyCare, Siobhan highlighted the supportive nature of her team.

“I would recommend for people to join MercyCare because our team is amazing and I am always supported to be creative and work towards reaching my goals.”

In her spare time, Siobhan is a passionate swimmer, competing at a national level.

“Working at MercyCare, I find that I have that flexibility and that I’m able to achieve that work-life balance, so that I can continue training during the week,” Siobhan said.

“In the rest of my spare time, I am on the Board of Masters Swimming WA as director of coaching and I am a volunteer coach with my Master’s Club, which I also compete with.”
