Ann, Annie and Majorie
Everything we do is centred around providing the best possible care to our residents. No matter what you need, we’re here to support and help you and your loved ones. Listen to what one of our residents and their family have to say about their MercyCare experience.
“When my daughter tells people that I’m in care they say ‘Shame.’ But she says ‘No mum loves it. She’s having a ball.” – Ann
“When we were looking for a nursing home for my husband, as soon as we looked at this one we knew this was the place. We took him home every Sunday but he never once didn’t want to come back.” - Majorie
Betty, Bill and Beverly
Hear to what one of our residents and their family have to say about their MercyCare experience.
“Betty has dementia. It was hopeless trying to look after her. We made a promise we would never put each other in a nursing home. But it’s just a promise you’ve got to break. Coming into MercyCare I felt comfortable straight away. They care for her and she loves them. I recommend MercyCare from day dot. It was like winning the lottery and I got first prize” – Bill (Betty’s husband)
Honey SobharaniService Manager
Honey has been working with MercyCare since 2018 and started as the Manager at Kelmscott RAC in late 2019. She has a Bachelors in Nursing, Masters in Health Psychology from the UK and has worked as an assessor for the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Council Accreditation Services. Being in the aged care and hospital sectors since 2007, Honey places a great deal of value on the teamwork needed to bring the best care to residents; not just between colleagues, but in building positive relationships between staff and family members as well.
As someone who lives in the Kelmscott area herself, Honey enjoys welcoming new residents and their families to the centre. “It’s important that we treat Kelmscott as a resident’s own individual home by providing unique care for each of them. By getting to know our residents and their families, we are able to create this homely environment. The respect that the team have for MercyCare’s values also enable us to prioritise providing consistency and continuity of care to make residents feel comfortable”
