MercyCare supports the purpose and objectives of the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety, with the first hearings beginning today in Adelaide. We are a provider of Aged Care services across retirement living, residential aged care and in home care in the Perth metropolitan area.
The ongoing robust conversation about Aged Care is important because as a society we want to establish the best possible care models for our seniors. We remain hopeful that the recommendations from the Royal Commission will provide real action for the older Australians who need care and also support investments to grow and develop the aged care services sector.
MercyCare is particularly keen to see enhanced services for the care of people living with dementia and any other forms of cognitive impairment, those with disabilities or special needs and our most vulnerable seniors.
We will work with the Royal Commission during this time with a shared desire to achieve consistent, high quality and compassionate care for all Australians.
