A joyful afternoon of family-friendly festivities to honour 10 years of supporting children’s growth and family wellbeing.
When MercyCare and Warriapendi Primary School partnered 10 years ago to create the Warriapendi Child and Parent Centre, the goal was to create a welcoming and effervescent hub that encourages community engagement and child growth.
It was clear to all during the 10th Anniversary Celebration held on Friday 15 November that this vision has well and truly come to life. The number of people from the community including families, children, MercyCare staff, Department of Education representatives, as well as members of state and federal government that joined us to honour the amazing work done by CPC over this period was outstanding.
This unforgettable afternoon of fun had something for everyone. There were delicious treats, a food truck and BBQ, a Feathers and Fluff Animal Farm, a giant bubble maker, fairies, superheroes, and even a special visit from Aunty Booka!
The Warriapendi Child and Parent Centre not only provides opportunities for families and children in the community to connect, but it also offers much-needed services such as an in-house Child Health Nurse and Speech Pathologist.
This is a space of compassion, kindness, and support in which children can spend time playing with new friends, read a book with their parents, as well as being able to access assistance.
We can’t thank our CPC staff enough for their continued hard work and dedication over this decade, ensuring to always put nurturing young minds and supporting families in the community at the forefront.
