Early Learning centres extend care to school age children

27 March 2020

MercyCare Early Learning centres remain open. In response to imminent school closures MercyCare will extend enrolments for children up to the age of 12 years old.

"We hope this will provide support to families in our community so they can keep working to provide for their family and continue essential services during these unprecedented times," MercyCare Early Learning Services Manager Rosina Smith said.

MercyCare Early Learning centres include Ballajura, Banksia Grove, Bassendean, Bedford, Bennett Springs, Ellenbrook, Heathridge, Kelmscott, Landsdale, Merriwa, Seville Grove, Thornlie, Wembley and out of school hours care at Newman College.

MercyCare will continue to deliver its excellent philosophy of care and education program to the children already enrolled, as well as any new children.

For older school-age children, an age appropriate program will be delivered, while also providing them support in completing their school work.

"The health and wellbeing of our children, families and our staff remains MercyCare’s number one priority and at the heart of everything we do," Ms Smith said.

While many MercyCare centres can accept school age children, it does not apply to all centres.

If you require care for your child/children please call or email one of our centre managers.
