Step by Step launches

Since launching, the new Step by Step Settlement Services team is making significant inroads into enabling new migrants living in Perth’s north metropolitan area to successfully settle and find their place in the community.

Led by MercyCare, the Service is a partnership with Save the Children and Edmund Rice Centre of WA and provides wraparound support for newly arrived refugees and migrants in their first five years in Australia.

The service helps with settlement needs, learning English, accessing education and training and finding
employment.

The alliance brings together MercyCare’s expertise in supporting people from a CaLD background to develop skills and find work, with our partners’ experience and skills.

The Service was launched with special guests Federal Member for Cowan the Honorable Dr Anne Aly, the Honorable Member for Mirrabooka Janine Freeman, and Stirling Deputy Mayor David Lagan and our frontline people who every day demonstrate immense effort to champion their clients.
